Okay, wow. It's like His Dark Materials meets The Witcher with a disabled, queer, empowering FMC, an admirable, noble, kind MMC and an incredible, brave pair of younglings.

The descriptions of settings, scenes, characters and emotions in this book are flawless, the lore, mythology and world building are fantastic and the plot twists? So much was so intense and heart wrenching and I cannot wait to read Sunbringer when the paperback is released.

The main reason why I did not enjoy this book because there were a lot of lose ends and the names were unreadable. I have myself listened to it in the end as I found myself being unable to read this book especially with the names that were used in the book.

I do think that the book was well written and I do think that there was a lot of potential in the book, you could tell that the author was attempting to start a lot of various plot lines in the hopes of building a world and starting it's own creation. The book gave me the vibes that it was attempting to replicate Lord of the Rings in the way that the world was built and the language that the author has created for the story.

My first 5-Star read of the year and it was SO good. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
