As with any final book in a series, obviously this isn't as good as the first. I was surprised by The Diabolic because I really didn't expect it to be so good. I have to say this was a pretty good conclusion to the trilogy and I was really glad that Nemesis didn't have to be all good and be the hero. Anyway, there were a lot of plot twists that I kind of saw coming but they were done really well.
Graphic: Drug use, Fire/Fire injury, and Gaslighting
Moderate: Torture and Genocide
Minor: Sexual content

skimmed through this at 3.5x on audio so i could get some closure and rate it as low as possible because that was a solid waste of time
- the concept was there i guess, but again, poorly executed
- i mean, it all hinged on the flimsy-ass, completely unfounded, underdeveloped, doesn't-make-any-sense-except-for-the-fact-that-they-are-heterosexual 'romance'
- i cannot over the fact that this relationship is built on nothing, and yet the entire series revolves around it like
- it's supposed to be all romantic and tortured, they can't live without each other shit, but why?
- they don't know anything about each other?
- they don't even trust each other?
- they don't respect each other's wishes?
- they don't even want to be together?
- is this really how the hets think relationships/romance works??
- also, the rebellion coming out of nowhere in the last book??
Moderate: Addiction, Blood, Death, Drug abuse, Drug use, Genocide, Gore, Religious bigotry, Slavery, and Violence
