As I was reading this, it gave me very much Rosemary’s Baby vibes, and in the acknowledgements, I saw that the author did indeed pay homage to the film.

This was my first book by Unger, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The dual timeline is always a fave of mine, and I knew something was up with Abi and Chad, but I couldn’t place my finger on it.

Rosie definitely it it’s Ted me because Chad gave very bright red flags, and she ignored each of them. She also annoyed me running up the stairs to the roof whenever she was chased.

I did want to see more scenes with Willa and Miles. I felt like that could’ve been flushed out a little more. I also wanted to see Max and Rosie finally get together.

All in all, this was really good.

When you try to be rosemary’s baby so bad that you make a less compelling story and make people want to read rosemary’s baby instead 🤷🏾‍♀️enter the Windermere at your own risk……. of boredom.
