I probably would have kept going with this one, but I just really didn't like the art.

I'm getting a little weary of stories that have almost zero space for any sort of joy/fun, with heros who are purely traumatized and never get to breathe, but the art and world of this is cool, and I'm a fan of the fantasy/sci-fi/reality blend. I get big Moebius vibes from the art and colors. It's got some nice twists and moments as well.

really wanted to like this more. thought it would delve more into themes of nature, climate change, resistance, etc. instead, it was pretty standard fare.

Loses itself in blood and gore. Many of the plot points toward the middle and end are formulaic, like the characters are acting out roles instead of being people.

Little Bird's mettle and grit is extraordinary. Exuberant art that captures an exemplary world. The script flows calmly and vigorously like the ocean. Convulsive battles that infect.

Little Bird is weird, wild, and takes no prisoners.
