This comic was revolutionary when it came out, and I can see why.
There was a time when Bendis was capable of writing good stories... This is a bold retelling of Spider-Man's origin for the new generation, and it does a great job at that. I think it's better than Amazing Fantasy #15, and SURELY better than the Spider-Man: Season One OGN.
I disliked what they did to the Goblin. The most interesting part of his character in earth-616 is that he's sometimes Norman, the evil, calculating businessman, and sometimes Green Goblin, a chaotic demon running around in pajamas.
This version of Gobby is a Hulk-lookalike who can't talk, and seemingly can't change back into Norman Osborn.
I'm mixed on the art. Bagley's poses and composition is amazing, but the faces sometimes look like those weird NFT Apes.
