This book kept me engaged the entire time! I loved that as the reader I had no idea what all the secrets were, it kept the book in my hands and guessing the entire time! After the last chapter, I just assumed the book was done — BUT THAT EPILOGUE!!!! So good! Well done, definitely recommend!!

What an ending! Never saw it coming! Definitely recommend. Downloaded on kindle unlimited as a book I’d never heard of before but sounded interesting and I’m glad I did! Wasn’t a massive fan of Niall's behaviour and attitude towards Beth and that she didn’t stick up for herself - she’s a bit of a pushover but hey ho.
I really didn’t enjoy this at all. It was so hard for me to get through. Really boring and the run up to the plot takes so long. I hated the characters so much, just not for me at all.

Two families swap homes for a holiday. One on the beautiful Amalfi coast, the other a cosy cottage in the English countryside. Sounds perfect, but what they thought was going to be an amazing holiday slowly turns into a nightmare.
First of all do not read the official blurb because it contains a spolier that happens at the 80% mark!
What I liked about the book
👍it was a quick read with short chapters
👍The final epilogue which had the only twist that truly surprised me
👍There are a couple of great secondary characters in this book
What I didn't like about the book
👎I didn't feel any connection with the main characters and wasn't given a reason to be invested in the outcome for them.
👎Not enough twists and one of the few that there are is spolied in the blurb
👎It took a while to build to the main plot of the book
It's a 3 star 🌟 from me despite the things I didn't like about the book I found this to be a quick read and that twist at tge end really surprised me.

A house swap mystery gone wrong with a few twists here and there but wasn’t anything remarkable. Wasn’t terrible by any means and fast paced.

I’ve never read a Shalini Boland book that I didn’t LOVE! The way she writes is just incredible, you really feel like you’re there living in the characters lives. She is the queen of plot twists, this one was a little less shocking than her other books but it didn’t make it any less amazing. I loved the setting and want to plan a trip to Italy now!
