Cute romance! This was a lite, east, fun read. A bit predictable, but a really nice love story. The story doesn’t just discuss romance, but it’s also about self love. I’d love to read more about Ruby and see how life plays out from here.

Ruby has her hands full when she sets foot on Sorrel Island. Confronting her ex Kenny who walked away from her and her son with no explanation, meeting famous painter Mac and becoming his muse and learning that her best friend Griffin has held a secret from her for years. Strictly Friends takes un on the highs and lows of the long term effects of childhood bullying, the struggle to come to grips with being abandoned and wondering if you are enough and the nee found attention from suitors in unlikely places.

Readers will enjoy this light natured tale of love, friendship and forgiveness. I recommend this book to reader’s .

This book was a journey about finding love, finding yourself, and finding joy in life. It was an easy read and quick to read. The main female characters were all portrayed as very strong which I loved but also showed some vulnerabilities. This is a story of best friends who have been through everything together, losing family, one finding love and having a baby, one playing the field but yet always there for one anouther until one shows that for him friendship is not all he wishes for. It’s a cute romance story filled with some very interesting characters who help bring the pages of the book alive.

I voluntarily received a free copy from NetGalley and all opinions are my own

I would recommend this book to family and friends and my book clubs

For the most part, I absolutely loved this book! It was easy to read, had a fun premise, and who doesn’t love a romance book where there are multiple love interests? I was never truly invested in anyone except the very clear winner (indicated just the title) but it was still an effortless read.

As some of the other reviews have echoed, I did find that the last part of the book didn’t seem to be as engaging as the first three quarters. I don’t know if it was just the conflict feeling like it was over running, or whether I just wanted the happily ever after ending to happen already, but I struggled to stay as invested and engaged as I had been.

A big plus is the language - it’s simply stunning. The descriptions of the different settings were so wonderfully done, I could picture everything perfectly. It was descriptive without being overly flowery or rambling.

A solid 3.5 stars (rounded up for Goodreads) - would recommend for anyone who enjoys a romance that touches on some heavier themes.

This book was just ok for me. I feel like it took a long time to progress through the plot. I wasn't overly enthused to get through the book and was very grateful when it ended. In the end, I felt like it was all over the place and don’t really know how we made it to the end.

I enjoyed the healing aspect and finding yourself and love
