Attack on Titan is one of the first animes I watched that I experienced the live release of the chapters, as they came out.

I remember these chapters were some of the last I read as it came out. Why? Because it wraps up a majority of the plot points that were established in the first few chapters of the manga. The ocean and the complete history of the Titans.

I also like how it harkens back to other minor plot points in the series such as the Smiling Titan actually being
Dina Fritz. So quite literally Eren's stepmother murdered his mother
. It also didn't leave us hanging with the backstory of everyone's favorite lesbian, Ymir. I do like how the anime handled it a little better as they were able to show some of her story after she made it to the wall but either way it's a nice addition.

Also I like how Eren is essentially named after
the Owl. It's quite literally a case of him naming himself after himself in the future.

You could quite literally wrap up the series here and most people probably wouldn't be upset at that. As a matter of fact I kind of view the upcoming volumes as a spin-off/tie-up as opposed to the same series. And I feel like I am justified in that thinking as you might have noticed on the back of the volumes it shows off which of the top 10 from 104th cadets are still alive or have yet to be outed as being an enemy of humanity. The volume art also starts going off in a different direction.

Anyway onward to the next volumes (which may get a written out post each time, as for many chapters, this will be my first time reading them.)
