Better plot than vol 1, but the first half of the book was basically the unrealistic renewal of Jory and Sam's relationship after Sam went undercover for 2 years and then spent the third year faffing around not getting his man back. I've gotta say, I'm not a huge fan of Jory's tattoo, or Sam's constant "you're mine/belong to me" commentary. But once the book picked up on the serial killer plot, the relationship became much more interesting. Plus, Jory got to solve mysteries and use his almost super human people skills to befriend all types of people.
