Not as good as I remember, but still extremely enjoyable.

Despite not being my favourite book in the series, Cress still managed to deliver a similarly impacting continuation to the storyline of the characters, both old and new.  Now, more than ever, does the heaviness of this story begin to come together, with even more action and drama than ever before.  Recommend to anyone already in love with series, or to those looking for a quiet, relatable main character who comes out of her shell alongside a cocky spaceship captain, and turns herself into the greatest hacker and asset the Rampion crew can ask for.  Full of escapes, cross-country desert treks and survival, this book will further your love for the series entirely.

Rapunzel on a satellite is just a fun concept. A bit longer than it needed to be, but I enjoyed the story and am curious to see how it ends.

I love the Lunar Chronicles and Cress is no exception. This new character is a sci-fi twist on Rapunzel, with a wicked captor, a blinded hero, the lot. I highly recommend reading Fairest before Cress; it helped contextualize some of the aspects of Lunar culture and abilities and I feel I would have been lost without that knowledge. Lots of loose ends so make sure you have a copy of Winter on hand (I don’t and I’m heading to the library to find one). My biggest complaint about this series is that for all its diversity (cyborgs, racial/cultural diversity, wolf-hybrids), there is no 2SLGBTQIA+ representation and I feel like it’s a missed opportunity. Every woman character seems linked to a man romantically and while the women are capable and strong, I wish there was less comphet.
