This book was wonderful. Better than the first two. Like I actually felt a more range of emotions and the romance was a little more realistic in this one. Just one downside is that the twists were kind of obvious so I figured them out before they were revealed. But this is definitely a great sequel.

I’m so deep in the series that I’m automatically a huge fan - such an interesting concept!

As I keep reading the books I find that the character narration changes from chapter to chapter to have little pay off. It’s basically just the same voice with a different main character. I think this could add a lot to character building and the story line but it just falls flat.

I’m never bored while reading these books but since the events are somewhat predictable (mostly), I did find myself wanting to get through sections until the plot diversion ended. I also felt like those were opportunities to build up characters and relationships and fell a little short.

Iko is the best. Lin is the worst. Kai is so rando. I missed scarlet. Cress is ok. I love when she gets her hopes up and then is wrong bc RELATABLE!

It’s insane to think that the only computer hacker on the whole moon capable of certain tasks is a 16 year old girl but that’s ok.

This is my least favorite book this far of the series, but I still FLEW through it in just 1 day - so clearly, it was still very exciting and captured my attention!

It is my least favorite because Cress was just a bit too… silly? Naive? Superficial? I just didn’t feel that I got to know her as well as I got to know Cinder and Scarlet.

However, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time wondering what was going to happen to our main characters - particularly to Cinder, Kai, Wolf, and Scarlet!

Another amazing character by Meyer. She does such an incredible job of having the different storylines converge and diverge so the reader is always in the know, anxiously waiting for the characters to meet once more.
