This was a piece of flash fiction about, precisely as the title says, a mermaid hunt. Another great find for #merMay 2019!
I feel slightly silly for buying the paperback, rather that just the ebook, because of the length, but I have a slight book collecting obsession. And this was beautiful (the writing AND the cover art), so, meh.
I don't know that I've ever read anything labeled as "flash fiction" before, but I do devour poetry on the regular, and this, to me, could be a prose poem. Each word choice was perfect and painted a stunning story with so few lines.
