Okay I GET that community is good and we want everyone to be friends but I would've actually loved it if Harlow and Rukh did just live together on the ocean

This book is different from the others in the series, because the male she finds is not a part of the original tribe. I very much enjoyed this book, however. I'm interested to see where this series goes.

This series gets better and better. The female lead in this series has had problems with infertility and that has been very much on her mind since she found herself stuck on an alien planet. Most of the females that have been stranded with her are finding mates.

Not just her new life has been affected by this, but her human life on planet earth seemed to revolve around this element of her life.

Ruby Dixon continues to build an amazing world of characters.
Plus, this was essentially and Tarzan and Jane retelling.

New Twist

I loved seeing more of the planet and seeing Harlow and her Mate come together with zero language abilities! This one has several unexpected twists! I loved it❤️❤️❤️

📚 Book 21/52 of 2024 📚
⭐️ 3.5/5 stars!
🌶️ 2/3 spice-o-meter!

GENRE: sci-fi romance
SUMMARY: Book 4 of Ice Planet Barbarians ❄️

“The ice planet has given me a second lease on life, so I'm thrilled to be here. Sure, there's no cheeseburgers, but I'm healthy and ready to be a productive member of the small tribe. What I didn't anticipate? That there'd be a savage stranger waiting nearby, watching me. And when he takes me captive, the unthinkable happens...”

Fantastic reliability from this series so far. Love reading about nice men!!!!!

🍑 PEACHES & PITS (likes and dislikes) 🍑
!!SPOILERS AHEAD!!

peaches:
  • Rukh is a great MMC
  • Harlow seemed just like a regular gal and wasn’t as abrasive as some of the past FMCs which was nice
  • I loved getting to see the soft side of Rukh and
the idea of him being all alone to bury his dad is just 😭😭😭
  • We’re in the baby era of Not-Hoth!!!

pits:
  • The idea of Rukh totally reorganizing his understanding of his dad felt a bit forced in speed
  • the development of Harlow and Rukh's relationship also felt a bit forced within the time jump - I would’ve loved to learn more about their life by the sea to deepen the feeling of their connection

✏️ ANNOTATIONS & SPARKLE TEXT ✏️
“And I,” he says, grazing his thumb over my mouth. “Will always need you. A male cannot exist apart from his heart.”

“Promise me we won’t change?” She burrows her face against my neck. “No matter what?”“I will tear khui from my chest before I leave you,” I tell her. “We are together. Always.”
