I'm a huge fan of Hadestown on Broadway (I was supposed to see it, but noooo COVID-19 had to ruin things)! Getting a glimpse inside Anais Mitchell's genius brain was so cool. She has a way with words that make this one of the best musicals I've listened to. I loved hearing the stories behind the lyrics and the process it took to get all the music and lyrics where it is now. The process from an idea to Broadway is long and arduous but you can tell in the way that Anais Mitchell speaks that she thinks it was worth every minute of it.

guys I freaking love hadestown omg. super super interesting from both a writing/poetry/musical perspective and as someone who has been a hadestown for like five years now. i will be re-reading it constantly because it is fantastic. anais mitchell the woman you are.
