No one is ever safe from heartbreak in these books.
Being this is book 28 of the series.. There's almost no tragedy Alex hasn't faced at this point, and it's getting to the point where it's like this could not possibly all happen to one man. And he's gotta be getting older.. I mean Nana Mama is in her 90s now. But that's where fiction comes in. These aren't the greatest novels ever written, but they're quick reads and usually quite entertaining.
