A well-curated anthology with strong authors telling stories about the (now) universal feeling of isolating. Sometimes thereโs a pandemic, but sometimes itโs just daily life. Regardless, the stories are all, even mildly relatable at this point, which is what truly brings out the horror.

This collection was really not doing it for me until the last few stories. I think part of that was me hoping for more stories of people being isolated in the woods, or a big blizzard, or a haunted house or something, but a lot of them dealt with other more cerebral types of isolation.
The ones I did enjoy:
"๐๐๐๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐ง๐" - ๐๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฒ - tells the story from the perspective of someone that is undead and his lands for post-death aren't exactly working out the way he thought.
"๐ ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐" - ๐๐ฐ๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ค - the last remaining Navajo is sitting watch and remembering how the world fell apart by not learning about the myths that came before them
"๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ซ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ฅ๐ฅ" - ๐๐ฐ๐๐ง๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ง ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ - a woman suddenly sequesters herself in her house and is not seen again for some time. The neighbors make repeated attempts to " help" Molly, but it doesn't exactly go well.
"๐ ๐ข๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ฏ๐, ๐ ๐ข๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ" - ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ญ๐ฅ๐ - a woman with Oracle-like abilities tells the story of her life and how it's not always great to know the future
The ones I did enjoy:
