I was totally blown away by this book! The world-building was just the right level for me, and I loved learning about the magic system and history of the city throughout the story. Vesper's growth, her learning to care for people she didn't expect to, and her sacrifices were really well played and impactful. I hope book #2 lives up to it!

I really didn’t really care for this read, unfortunately. It’s not very helpful but I don’t feel like going further with my explanations as to why. I don’t have anything nice to say other than the concept had possibility.
