Once you are able to ignore every time the guy says tears me up, you can really enjoy the book.
It's a little depressing in the beginning but it gets better.

This is my fourth book by Benjamin Alire Sáenz and he is definitely my all-time favorite author. I started this book knowing nothing. I didn't expect that this book would be his darkest. This author needs much more attention and popularity — totally underrated book and author.

WOW. Qué fuerte.
Confieso que al principio, y como hasta mitad de libro no le encontraba su encanto, hasta pensaba en que no iba a darle más de tres estrellas. Y la segunda parte me destrozó. Les aseguro que tenía que hacer pausas para poder pasar el trago. Había párrafos que debía esperar a que mis ojos terminaran de llorar para poder leer. Omg. Jajaja.

Le baje medio punto porque en serio, EN SERIO que las frases de cuatro palabras me sacaban.
