Las primeras páginas fueron difíciles de digerir, pero la segunda mitad del libro fue tan buena que no pude soltarlo y antes de darme cuenta, lo terminé.
Un libro muy impactante.

The beginning was confusing at first but I stuck with the story since I wanted to figure out how everything was connected. After the first one hundred pages or so I caught on to the Australian language and understood what was going on. This novel was truly amazing and was filled with so many emotions.

No matter how many times I read this, I love it more every time, my heart breaks a little bit more every time and I cry a bit more every time .
And I thought it would get easier.

This story shows you how strong friendship can be, how a true friend can help get you through anything, help get you through the worst thing.
It also reminds me that people can have terrible experiences and situations but that they survive and there is always hope.

Very engaging story, but there was so much tragedy and loss in the lives of the characters. There is certainly hope, but it felt really intense to me.

I was a little disappointed when this book won the Printz because I had never even heard of it before. But I wanted to give it a chance so I read it. I must say, I really did like this book. I liked how Taylor starts discover her past through the story and other kids. I like how the different groups come together and finds friendship rather than hate. This book actually reminds me a bit of Looking for Alaska because it shows tragedy and the outcome. Even though the Hermit wasn't a huge part of the book, I will not soon forget him and how his actions affect so many others. There is some sexual stuff so this book is for a mature reader.

After many recommendations I finally got around to reading Jellicoe Road and I have to say this is probably the most intrinsic young-adult novel I have ever read! The characters and plot were so complex and interesting and Marchetta really pulled it together well.

What seems like a standard school rivalry plot turns into an misinterpreted love story of people that find each other when they have no one else. It's a story of resilience, love and the regrets that we have to conquer in the end. When I say love, it's not just romantic love it's about the connections that are made with family that are unending and the ones that are found with friends.
