I love Julia Whalen as a narrator and she did a great job on this book as the author! Good story but so sad. It’s ok to not always have a happy ending.

I absolutely love @justjuliawhelan as a narrator, but have kept her authored books on my TBR for too long. With the upcoming @netflix adaptation releasing on August 1st, I had a good reason to move My Oxford Year to the top of my list and it didn't disappoint! I really enjoyed the relationship between Ella and Jamie. I especially loved the inclusion of so much poetry in between the pages. Julia brought Oxford to life and made me long to study there in my own collegiate adventure, but alas, I'm old now and can't retain information after 2 days 😆  So I'll live vicariously through books like Julia's.

OF COURSE, I had to enjoy this book via audio with Julia narrating. There was no other option for me. I had to pause the book as early on as chapter one just to check the credits again to see if it was only Julia narrating. She's so talented that I questioned if the elderly male character in the audiobook was her!
