That was one of the longest 350 pages I’ve ever read. But at least I have a good reason to go watch a Thin Man movie.

I enjoyed this mystery set on an interplanetary space liner, with its echoes of The Thin Man. I liked the main characters very much, but it was odd to meet them as a couple on their honeymoon and get no backstory about their history together. I found the setting of the space liner rather confusing to track, as the characters moved through its different levels. The schematic drawing at the front of the book didn't really help. I also found the large cast of supporting characters a bit confusing. This is definitely not a locked-room mystery - but I have hopes it may be the start of a series. Hopefully with both the excellent service dog, Gimlet the Westie, and bride's extremely inventively profane lawyer.

Skimmed some of the sections in the middle because it was a bit anxiety inducing, but overall enjoyable. Also liked the concept.

Cosy mystery set on a cruise liner between Earth and Mars. The protagonist is a very rich woman being incognito on her honeymoon. A murder happens and her husband, a former private detective, is a suspect. It takes place about 40 years in the future. The characters are likable and there is even a cute dog involved. Fun mystery.

Murder she wrote met Deep Space 9 in this cozy space mystery. Tesla and Shal are 2 interesting characters, but Gimlet the Westie is the best of them all. It is a nice reading, and for me it was also a new author and now I have a longer wishtoread list.
