A closed room murder mystery on a ship to Mars. I'm a big fan of murder mysteries and when Mary Robinette Kowal wrote this, I was one of the lucky beta readers. The characters are filled out, the lawyer who curses in saints, the retired detective husband who is suspected of murder, and the narrator is a rocket scientist with wounds physical and mental. It's a whole lot of fun, including the cutest Westie service dog. It's a delight.

I'm not usually a mystery reader, but this was a closed-circle murder plot on a space-cruiseliner travelling between Earth and Mars. The sci-fi element drew me in and kept the mystery plot rolling along. I had suspicions about whodunit throughout and I was in the neighborhood by the reveal at the end. Unfortunately, that reveal felt rushed and I wasn't super-satisfied by the motives presented.
