Made to Love

I loved her portrayal of black love without using any harmful stereotypes.

Nyles was my favorite part of this book, and his cockiness drew me in from the moment he was introduced. I’m a huge fan of poetry and there was some amazing “spoken word” in this book!

I wasn’t a fan of Trevia, especially her constant mentioning of “miss kitty.” The phrase itself is very cringe to me, but beyond that, it was mentioned soooo often in the early pages of the book that I was literally begging her to go fuck anybody

So good. So good.
lighthearted

Nyles was straddling the line between cocky and confident. Trevia with her dreams lol.  Their relationship was possessive, messy but still very entertaining to read about!

This insta-love was a bit too saccharine for me. I wanted a little bit more as to why Trevia got with that loser Wesley. She didn’t have enough time to really deal with that before she fell for Mr. Poet.
But I was happy for her as she deserves it. I do want to know more about her sister. That relationship seems more complex and would be more Angsty.

So good. So good.

I didn't like this.

This was a huge improvement from the first book. It's not quite there yet and did still have some surface level depth, but I found myself caring more about the characters. I was also super grateful that the slang I thought was going to carry over from the first book didn't make it. Slightly looking forward to the third read, especially since there were little to know weird references to body parts. She gave more background on the characters that made them seem more fleshed out as well.

Loved This!

I always love a book where the man knows right off rip that he’s feeling a woman and lets his feelings be known! There’s so much stupidity in today’s dating scene that a man who knows who he wants and fights for her…or him is so refreshing! Now that a I’ve met Nyles, I can twist to Alexandria House’s Book of Nyles that she just released but too long ago! Awesome read as always!!
