Trevis learns that her boyfriend is not only a cheater but married with children. And to he knowledge the wife is aware of her snd they laugh about her taking care of him.

When she goes to the opening of her friends club she runs into a poet Nyles. She just has to have him.

She starts showing up at his shows. Even purchased a vip to tell him to his face that she wanted him.but meet and greet was cancelled.

At the third show he makes a poem about seeing her at the last show and explained he had interest in her too. But she deemed him to be too cocky snd decided she didn’t want him anymore.

She stopped going to his shows. When she learned the owner of the club was family to her. He only agree to sign the contract if they get her to come. When she shows they discuss and decides to date.

Ex boyfriend thinks because he finally divorced his wife they could be together now. That brings drama. She tries to get him to understand they are no more but he don’t get the hint til she shows up with her gun.

He proposed to her during one of his shows.

Cute love store. Spicy.

Alright now that I’ve read 2/3 of the books in this series, I understand that these are warp speed romances that are born from lust. This one is shrouded under “love at first sight” but still….it was lust if you ask me.

Nyles was cocky and kind of annoying at the beginning and I understood how one could be turned off by it. But on the other hand, I can also understand coming in strong when it’s your soulmate (as far as one can believe it to be) on the line.

Trevia had a lot of demons to work through (not the evil kind, but the baggage kind). Honestly I don’t know that she really actively and intelligently did that. It seemed like she tried maybe 10% but her thought process was real flighty. I think she could have used some therapy, bad. She even mentioned it several times throughout the book but never friggin went! I think the self work she deserved was not executed.

Now with all that said, I enjoyed the heck out of this book. I liked all the characters (flawed though they were) and I continued to love the friendship between the 3 girl friends. The poetry from Nyles was such a sweet touch and reminded me of being a sucker for artist lover boys back in my day.

I will always and forever recommend AH’s books. On to book 3!
