Gripped. Start to finish. I loved the Housemaid but somehow, this was better. You didn’t really need to have read the housemaid to read this - apart from knowing Millie’s backstory. But both books are 5*. I genuinely didn’t see either twist coming!!!! Amazing.

I really enjoyed this sequel.  I loved how it was different from the last one. I like the different approach to this second book. The characters were fantasticly done well. This book was well written.  The storyline was a masterpiece.  I can't wait for the next.

I liked this book even better than the first one in the series! While it starts out VERY similar, I thought the mystery was more suspenseful, and the plot twists weren’t as easy to see coming, and that kept me on the edge of my seat.

The rest of this review contains spoilers.

I went into this book not trusting anyone (except for Millie and Enzo), and it’s a good thing, because there was more than one villain. A few times, I had my doubts about Brock and whether he was genuine, but I’m glad he didn’t end up being shady and involved in any of the mystery.

One moment that really stuck out to me was the scene in the cabin with Marybeth. The whole time, I thought it was Millie, and I was so scared that she was going to throw everything away when she didn’t actually need to. When I found out it was Marybeth…mind blown, and I literally said “You go, girl.” Then, in the very end, to find out that Millie was still involved in that…I also said “good for her!”

I was very satisfied with the ending! Wendy got what she deserved. Same with Millie! She made some reckless choices throughout, but I’m glad things worked out the way they did. And I’m glad Detective Ramirez and Millie had the last conversation that they did.
