The main points of this book are good reminders on how to love yourself and how that can translate into loving those around you. However, I found that each description of the agreements and how to achieve them became so repetitive that it was like trudging through excess to find the root of the agreement. In all, the four agreements feel like common sense but I can see how they’d be difficult to achieve in their purest forms.

Will likely read again if I find I’m losing myself on my path of life.

Extremely enlightening. i feel as though i could certainly begin living my life based on these agreements. Just a readers note to the author (if he cares) many paragraphs are chopped full of the same examples explained in 3 different metaphors that, to me, don’t seem necessary at all

The Four Agreements are a captivating short read that has valuable life lessons for people of all cultures and stages of life to learn about and apply in their lives. The actions of not taking things personally, living in self confidence, and striving to become a better person are ideas that this book discusses, and it implores the reader to try to implement into their lives.
