4 1/2 blue stars. I gave it 5 here because I read the other story on Janette's website and I loved it. Some parts seemed unrealistic to me but it was moslty cleared when I read the website story. Beautiful! I didn't think I would like this book, so a great surprise.:)

Today I needed a light, fun book with a happy ending while I curled up on the couch with my box of tissues and cold medicine. This one was just right! I like Janette Rallison's books (aimed at teens usually) because they're fun, clean stories with a sweet romance and a good message or two worked in as well. And so what if the ending is predictable? -- it was just what I needed today.
I read this book because some book blogger with similiar tastes to mine said she liked Janette Rallison and when I searched her on Amazon this ebook was free.
This book had a "I actually like you even if our relationship started with something that makes it not real" relationship and I'm not a fan of those. Especially, when paired with the "I want to tell him but it's so difficult I just can't".
That was not what made me like this book. It was the part about family, as it always is. I can't say much about it because it would be a spoiler, but I can tell you my eyes had some water in the final chapters.
Basically, this book is normal YA with annoying clichés and some good moments. A solid read, all in all.

This was such a cute, sweet book.
Alexia grew up with her single mom and her grandmother. They didn’t have a lot but they had enough.
Alexia’s friends and the mean girls at school did have to acknowledge Lexi’s beauty. She is the absolute doppelgänger of the famous singer Kari Kingsley.
After a popular girl at school makes a picture of Lexi go viral, Kari finds out about her and sees an opportunity ripe for the taking.
If she can convince people that Lexi is actually her, Kari will be able to devote more time to writing her next album.
Lexi would be paid a huge amount of money to take over the more mundane obligations in Kari’s life.
Lexi doesn’t feel like she can turn down the offer. She’ll make more than enough money to pay for her college education.
When she arrives in California, things start to get more complicated. Kari’s life isn’t as easy as she looks and Kari isn’t the flighty girl that Lexi had pictured. As part of the deal, Lexi insists on meeting Kari’s father on whom Lexi’s mother has always had a crush.
To make matters more complicated, Lexi finds herself with her own crush on a celebrity. He seems interested too but, of course, he thinks that Lexi is Kari.
I liked the characters. All of the women in this book were strong women and good characters. I liked this story about bonds between family, friends and first love.

This book had a slow beginning for me...meaning the romance didn't happen until almost halfway through the book. I liked the overall story and always enjoy Rallison's books.
