I picked up this book at the library and was interested because of the interesting art and the unique title. But for all the artistic components of the book, I was a little disappointed. It has very little substance and has a lot of parts that seem to have more meaning but then are never brought up again. I found the the entire plot very dull. The art was wonderful though, which is why I’m giving this 2 stars instead of 1.

Wait I LOVED this, it’s so cute and cheesy and actually quite empowering, also the illustrations are amazing.

The book simply intrigued me for the illustrations, weird and wonderful.

If you want an odd love story with questionable morals and what feels like a pint of frivolity and a teacup of pretentiousness, I have found the book for you!

Pretty, though.

This is a simple story if falling in and out of love and in again. While the story itself has little substance, the quirkiness of it was quite entertaining, and I don't know why, but it felt very parisienne. The illustrations, of course, are absolutely beautiful and lovely.
