I am very disappointed with this installment of the Alex Rider series, I have loved them all up until this one. Firstly, it had a very long winded beginning in which we find out about Scorpia's plan which means there's not much we don't know towards the end. I don't want to spoil the story too much for those who haven't read it but a major character died and I thought "no need to get upset they'll have survived" but that character did in fact die!!! It wasn't emotional, there wasn't a final goodbye or anything so I was REALLY annoyed that the author did that after I've followed thru with the whole series and there wasn't even the slightest moment for the reader to be upset about that character dying! Anyway that's my long winded complaint over and thats why I only gave it 2 stars.

Scorpia Rising was excellent! I know there’s more books in the series but it really is a perfect and heartbreaking conclusion for the series. So many things happened I didn’t expect and I think if I read it as a teen I’d have been even more devastated than I am now. Alex goes through so much!
