I'll never not be obsessed with an Ivy run, esp when she's out there killing off the shitty humans that are ruining the earth. With the perfect amounts of sass, snappy comebacks and one liners, and a self sacrificing attitude, Ivy will always be The Moment

Usually with 12 issue runs like these my interest starts high and then drops towards the middle issues before raising again at the end, with this volume however it went up with each chapter, and I'm excited to start on issue 7/volume 2

This was a really strong start to a series for a character who I think the march of world events has turned from an out-and-out villain into a more complex anti-heroine. G Willow Wilson brings a lot of nuance and out-and-out queer energy to Ivy here, and while I think the final confrontation is just... fine... the rest of the book is genuinely excellent. Phenomenal art team here as well, leaning into some beautifully grotesque body horror -- think Alex Gardland's take on ANNIHILATION -- while maintaining genuinely strong physicality for our characters.

Quite possibly the most gorgeous graphic novel I've ever read, loved the art! I would love some posters. :)

Plot-wise I feel like I missed something because I haven't read the 'backstory' about her being merged and then having to separate so I feel like I didn't connect with her grief about that enough. I also felt like it was maybe too abrupt from 'kill them all' to 'just kill the really bad guy'. idk. Still really good though. I might have to try watching the Harley Quinn animated series again, didn't really click the first time around, but I think I need more Ivy in my life.

One of the biggest surprises of the last few years. I haven’t read much by the author or of the character, but I’m going to be looking more into each.
