Narrators Rebecca Norfolk and Alex Wingfield were excellent!
Great story, world building and protagonists to root for.
Love, politics, ethics, magic, myth, journalism, letters, writing, ambition, duplicity, family, truth-seeking, courage, high stakes, heroism and commitment.
Unique and satisfying to have a young romance so deeply rooted in respect and friendship - not just hormones and beauty.

I had such high hopes for this, after how much I loved book 1, but this was destined to disappoint from the get go for me as I HATE the amnesia trope so much. I had to switch to audiobook to get through part 2, because I just can’t with that trope!!!
I do like the writing a lot, it has some really beautiful elements but still can be cringe at times.
Overall I just think there were a million better ways the story could have played out, BUT the writing is great, I’m heavily invested in how down bad Roman is for his wife , and I loved that Iris was more of a bad bitch (breaking into Museums and beheading Gods are the kind of hobbies I highly support) in this book. Also love that it was the girlies who saved the day whilst the men watched 💅

I really enjoyed the characters and world building from book 1. The ending seemed to set up some great angst and tension. So I was dissapointed when this book fell flat for me. It was painfully slow placed. And any tension was quickly disipated by a lot of extra side plots that added nothing to the story.
