wow. i had so many theories but i didn’t figure out the plot twist.
i feel sick. this story was disturbing and heartbreaking.
i feel like the characters were made kinda flat and the ending was almost too crazy. but i enjoyed it and will someday read other books by this author :)

This one took me on a wild ride. At the very beginning, I was concerned that I already had the twist figured out but it turns out the author had more in store! It was SO obvious to be that Daisy was dead and I was worried that I had already figured out the “twist” so early on. In fact, I think I would give this book 5 stars if it had turned out that she wasn’t dead at all. However, I was still surprised and enjoyed the story. I don’t know how I feel about the murder suicide and leaving a 15 year old girl to be parented by her dead 13 year aunt…but 🤷♀️ I kind of wish it hadn’t been a supernatural twist and rather some other real life explanation but I did enjoy the fact that her horrible family ended up dead.
Moderate: Pedophilia, Death of parent, Terminal illness, Bullying, Child abuse, Confinement, Grief, Injury/Injury detail, Medical content, Sexual assault, Murder, Addiction, Alcoholism, Chronic illness, Domestic abuse, Emotional abuse, Ableism, Death, Suicide, and Toxic relationship

The end was good and kept you on your toes, but the rest was boring and predictable.

I don’t know how to feel about this book and my rating might change. I feel like the plot twist was maybe too far-fetched?

The second book I read by Alice Feeney. I didn't like the first (Rock Paper Scissors), but I'm glad I gave her a second chance. I loved this book! I listened to the audiobook in ONE day. On to the next... :)
