I loved how this book built on one of the characters from The River. The mystery and suspense built a bit faster in this as compared to The River.

Have learned that I will read anything this man writes. A thriller that is as touching as it is gripping, it is a master class in craft and content, exploring questions of (self-)forgiveness/responsibility/culpability in an already too familiar future. I didn't want it to end.
