Not one of my favorites. Honestly, I skipped a few pages because of the redundancy, mostly the sex scenes. In that respect, I got some 50 Shades vibes in how it became unnecessarily verbose. It annoyed me that at the very beginning, literally everywhere they went, the physical appearance of one or both main characters had to be mentioned, mostly the Cameron. The one-sided conversations got old very quickly. At times, the story seemed to drag then it would become rushed. Overall, I didn't absolutely loathe it, though.

Just a 3 star for me..

I'm not really sure that me and this author click. I read one other book by her and ended up giving it 2 stars - it definitely wasn't my favorite. While I liked the concept of this story, I'm not a huge fan of the author's writing. I loved both of the MCs and I commend her for writing a story where the H mainly only has silent conversations with everyone around him. There wasn't much texting, writing on paper, or any sign language. This was a relationship built basically on the h hardly having any conversations with the H other than body language and grunts (and moans... ). That's got to be hard to write, but I think she did a good job. I don't think the story lacked because the H didn't speak.

My issue was the writing and for that reason I will probably not read another book by this author. In this case it's a "it's me, not you" kind of thing.

I hope your ready for me to rip this book apart!!!!

Boooooring. Too much sex. Characters were bland, and perfect and Jasmine is just living the perfect life, there's no tension, the books "climax" lasted like two chapters right at the end. I was skipping at least 10 pages a time because there was just unnecessary information. New character? Let me tell you how hot they are. New day? Let me describe my outfits in detail.

This book is utter trash, sexist, and very juvenile writing. It reads like a 12 year olds fan fiction.

Some of my *favourite* lines were (note: sarcasm):

"At that very moment, they just so happen to start playing our jam—Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines. Side note: Robin is totally hot. Not as hot as Cameron, though”

“Once I’m at his side, I turn to the chit (referring to a woman). Everything about her is fake—hair, lips, breasts, ass. This is what he likes?”

“I know I’m playing with fire here, but hey… YOLO.”

“Detective John Victor. Everything about him looks average—average height, average build, average looks. He does, however, have a dark chocolate appeal that many women go for. I would guess he does pretty well with the ladies.” (Why the fuck is this important?!?!!??? He's a minor character.)

That's only a portion of the awful language in this book. I feel dumber after reading it.

Dear Author: When your teachers taught you about climax in story telling, they didn't mean the one you achieve during sex. If you want to publish stories like this, post it on Wattpad and AO3. I can't imagine anyone buying this book. Im so mad I wasted my time.

Let me start by saying I was provided an arc copy in exchange for an honest review.

Jasmine is a senior in college that shares an apartment with her BFF Chelsea. Jasmine's last boyfriend turned out to be a dud. Chelsea takes her to MMA fight, even though that's not Jasmine's cup of tea, and that event will forever Change her life.

Cameron is a smoking hot MMA Fighter with a perfect record. He is the mysterious fighter that keeps to himself until he locks eyes on Jasmine.

The way these 2 communicate is amazing and hot but will it be enough?

The author does a great job building the communication between these two characters. I love that the female character is biracial with curves. There were times where I started to get a little frustrated with how they communicated but then thought about how awesome that would be to have someone like that.

This was an amazing read about staying true to your own-self and not allowing anyone to sway you from your goals, trusting in someone completely, strong friendships and love. It is definitely worth reading.

A good story that you don't have to think too much about.

I love it.
I really like how Alana drew Cameron's character even though for almost the whole book he didn't speak a word but I can still visualize him and his reactions. Oh and I adored how Jas and Cam can communicate without word. That's what I call great writing.

Not bad

I enjoyed the story itself my only issue is that is was filled with more sex scenes than story line. So while I don't mind the sex I personally prefer storylines. If you prefer mostly sex scenes then this is the book for you. I don't think the couple gets through any conversation without it turning into sex.
