This book made me laugh and cry so many times. The characters were amazingly written and I felt like I knew them. Although I got frustrated with Emma sometimes, she had a genuine reason for not telling people what was happening to her. Carol made me want to throw the book across the room sometimes, but of course I couldn't do that.
I loved the relationship between Emma and Evan, them being friends for most of the book made their relationship so much more real and not ista-lovey at all. Sara was one of the rare times you see a character with and amazing true friend and I loved her. That ending left me feeling like my heart was shattering and I cannot wait to pick up the next book, although I need some time to recover!

What a total let down. It started good and interesting but it all went down hill because of the main characters who has more important stuff to do like fucking flirting. I mean bruised body and all but still manages to flirt and shit. Carol was the most interesting character on this story and she may not have the best auntie award but she sure was on track. What a waste.

Emma lives with her abusive aunt and uncle who ignores the abusive. She stays quiet because they are good to her cousins, and she’s afraid if she reports it, they will be taken away and split up. She she’s counting down the days to get away to college.

She meets and crushes on the new guy Evan, who is interested in her. This book feels like a YA book at school, and a horror story at home.

The strength of this book is the friendship between Emma and her friend Sara. Sara knows some of what is going on, and begs Emma to report it. The friendship was written better than the romance in my option.

This book could have been 100 pages shorter. The plot dragged at times, and it was just too long and repetitive.

It ends on a cliffhanger. I borrowed the next book and read the first chapter, but it just didn’t hold my attention.

Free on kindle unlimited.

This was a great book! A sad and emotionally driven page turner. It does end on a big cliffhanger! Must start the second book immediately.

This book was great, but there was too much that just PISSED ME OFF! I don't want to spoil it for anyone, and yes I fully intend on reading series, so I do recommend it....

I loved this book. This was one I wanted to be reading when I was at work, or needing to go to bed, just could not stop until I was finished. Waiting patiently for the sequel which comes out next month!!
