This series is turning out to be one of my favorite fantasy series.

A good continuation. It went on a bit long in some areas, but overall it was good. I liked the way it developed the back story to the Krasians and the bringing together of threads. I'm looking forward to book 3 now.

Interesting ending, sets up a dual kind of conflict, sort of in the Saruman/Sauron model. The Hollows folk are too easily manipulated by Abban, Ahmann, and the Krasains. Need to see where it goes from here. Not expecting great things.

Not nearly as good as the first. Dragged in places. Predictable.

[Nota Personal]:Llegó a mi atención que la versión en español de este libro esta dividida en dos: La Lanza del Desierto y "El Palacio de los Espejos" por lo que, luego, se leerá la segunda parte y se actualizara la calificación acorde a eso.

I loved this book and am shocked that it managed to better than the first one. It took me down roads that I was reluctant to travel in the story, having invested in what I felt should happen, but ended up happier for that journey. Brilliant writing, a tight storyline and superlative character development.
