I was pleasantly surprised by this book, I enjoyed it a lot, and I felt the psychology was handled pretty well.

Started off really strong; great premise and writing. Was a bit disappointed in the end, but overall I think it was a good book.

I thought this book had a lot of potential and had a very interesting foundational concept that could have made a great story. However, I found myself quite unsatisfied in the last 15-25% of the book. Hanna and Suzette obviously have a troubled relationship in a struggle for Alex’s affection. While this is the main premise of the book, the issue never seems to be resolved. Does Hanna go back to tormenting the family? Does she ever learn to love her mother? What exactly is wrong with Hanna? There are a lot of questions that go unanswered.

I'll go solid 4 on this one, pretty good story. I am not sure why it's shelved as horror for so many, as that isn't what a would classify it as, but all in all I enjoyed it.

A similar story to what you may or may not have read/watched before, but done just differently enough to still be enjoyable.

Another first time author for me, so I'll be checking out more books by Zoje Stage as well.

A really interesting and compelling read. I think it hits on multiple levels of relatability, even though a lot of us haven't been in that specific situation before. It would be interesting if there ever was a sequel, however I don't think it needs one.
