The third book in the Lady Julia Grey series. This time Lady Julia goes to Brisbane in his new home in Yorkshire, Grimsgrave. A mystery begins to unfold surrounding the remnant of the former owners of the home. Another good mystery that involves not only love, but betrayal. I loved the ending.

The series turns a bit more gothic with a bleak, tumble-down mansion on the moors and a vivid cast of characters. Raybourn maintains interest with lively action and a couple enjoyable twists, and always a touch of humor from her spirited heroine.
