Not bad. Got a few pieces of advice in there. Appreciate some of the anecdotes.

This is a decent place to start in the "learn how to learn" genre but it felt pretty shallow.

This book relies heavily on stories to make the author's point so I was disappointed to find a lot of repetition in the stories chosen from other work: I'm pretty sure I read the story about the chess champion in "Peak" and about Benjamin Franklin learning to write in one of Cal Newport's books.

The good news is that there is a lot of very good books, writers and researchers referenced so you can use it as a launch point for learning how to learn.

I'm sure the advice in here is useful to someone and it is decent enough as a little motivation booster but I found the book incredibly repetitive and of too little substance to continue. You're probably better off reading a summary or the author's blog.

Meh, I should have known better than read this. It's the sort of book Blinkist was invented for: there are some good, usable tips here, but it's a massive chunky book that could be summarised as a short series of about 4 blog posts.

I’m looking forward to implementing the strategies mentioned in this book. I highly recommend reading Ultralearning if you are interested in improving the way you acquire and retain knowledge and skills.
