I enjoyed this book! This was a fun book to get me out of the reading slump. I wish there was more on page character development, because all the character development was told through inner monologue. Other than that Luciano's the perfect mafia boyfriend - obsessed with his wife and does some harsh things occasionally, but doesn't treat her like crap! (bare minimum, but you get it).

I chose to ignore the age gap and in my mind he's only 32 since she's 25 because the quote "You've been mine from the moment you took your first breath. And you'll be mine when you take your last breath." doesn't really hit the same when you find out that her parents knew his father for a long time and he was supposed to be her guardian when they were killed

. The thought of him being 40 means that he was 15 when she was taking her first breath and feels weird with the backstory they have.
