Benjamin Stevenson writes an incredibly fun sleuth mystery set during the most wonderful time of year. The way he sets up the story as an advent calendar is an unexpected surprise. With a lovable character in Ernest Cunningham, I found myself rooting for him the entire time. With something revealed every chapter it really felt like I was trying to break the case as well. The big reveal was executed perfectly.

This was such a fun book that I read over the course of 2 days. It was pretty fast paced but didn’t race through plot to the detriment of the mystery. I loved spending a bit of the holiday season with Ern and this cast of characters.
