I feel like I have seen the pictures of the lovers in another book but can't remember where.
Reading these stories are painful, but this one made me feel like I was actually travelling back and forth with the tattooist, and I started checking the faces of the prisoners as well, hoping to see her. I'm glad he got to tell his story his way. He survived, all over again, and so did she.

Very good story.  The horrific setting has been glossed over somewhat, but if it hadn't been,  I might not have been able to read it.

Outra leitura fantástica. Desde o romance até à tragédia. Conta nos a história de Lale, o Tatuador e da sua amada Gita. Lale apaixona-se logo quando a vê na fila para ser tatuada, trémula. A partir daí é uma história inspiradora de superação e de luta pela sobrevivência e também pelo amor que os une.
