Okay. The first few chapters were intriguing. And later, the hot scenes were smokin'. But otherwise there was SO much about this book that I didn't like or felt pretty meh about.
•Just! Talk! About! Your feelings! UGH, I know some people like this level of angst but it is NOT for me.
•This particular portrayal of prison life and being a felon seemed...romanticized? stereotyped? something. I was somewhat uncomfortable during much of this book and it had to do with this.
•Weird scene inserted right around the story's climax from a POV we hadn't heard from before, from a character much earlier in the book, that only serves to set up the next book in the series but completely jolts us out of the current story
CW: physical violence; severe threat of sexual violence; prisoner abuse
