I really enjoyed Jasmine Guillory's first book, The Wedding Date, so I was looking forward to this one. It has been a really busy time of the year and I found this book to be the perfect escape. I enjoyed the characters and the plot. I think I even liked it just a bit more than The Wedding Date. I must say that I liked that the characters from The Wedding Date were referenced in this book as well though. This book read just like a movie I would watch and that is just what I wanted.

I haven't read a romance novel in years. But this was cute. The characters were lovable and it was a quick read.
I enjoyed the diversity of the characters but the story was lackluster. I would’ve been more interested if her ex acted more on his threats and it interfered with the relationship or if the sex scenes were more detailed. There were some cute and funny moments throughout but overall very pg-13. It got to a point where I just wanted to finish and checked out.
