Chloe is her brother's captive, trapped and tormented for a reason she doesn't know. When her path crosses with Ro, he decides to rescue her.

This was a fun listen with a strong element of grittiness that manages not to get overwhelming. I enjoyed the chemistry between the leads and the surprising resolution of the conflict, though the way the romantic conflict dragged on a little afterward was disappointing.

Wow, the second book in the Mountain Mercenaries series and it seems to only get better. Ms Stoker seems to deal with very dark issues in her books but she does it so well its totally gripping and engaging, and the chemistry between the two main characters is always hot.

Bloody hell, this author can do no wrong by me. Each story I've loved more than the last.
This book is about GREED and what people will do for money. There's kidnapping, murder and the mafia rolled into one very entertaining, action packed tale. There's love too, it's simmering away in the background. The two main characters had the sizzle factor going, love a strong heroine and a good story line. Who is Rex? I have an inkling but I see a red herring thrown into the mix here. Bring on the next book in this series, I can't wait.

Oh man - this was a crazy entertaining book. I love when romantic suspense gets a bit bonkers. Chloe is trapped by her brother, and he’s a real peach of a man - into every criminal thing you can imagine. When she meets Ronan, he knows he’ll do what it takes to help her.
