I was surprised by how sweet this book was but I loved every minute of it. The relationship between Isabelle, Beast, and Gaeton was so loving and open even though it started off as a revenge sex pact? Only Katee Robert could pull something bananas like this off and I'm so happy she did. I love that Beast was the cold, silent one to the rest of the world but in the relationship he knew exactly what he wanted and wasn't afraid to ask for it. He was the one to reassure Gaeton and Isabelle when they were worried or questioning the relationship and I loved his quiet confidence. Robert does a great job showcasing the insecurities and issues each character has to overcome in order to get to a place they can all be honest and comfortable with each other. The three of them just work together and any time Isabelle wants to trade places, she can let me know.

HOW DOES IT KEEP GETTING BETTER AND BETTER!?

This entire series is all vibes and little plot but IT'S SO BLOODY GOOD!! I absolutely loved this book, I loved the dynamic. This had all the feels and the spice. This is a beauty and the beast retelling but kinky and ends up as a triad. Did I love every single moment of this...absolutely! It was easy to get through and had angst in the first few chapters that were TO DIE FOR.

I did love their relationship as a triad more than the second book because, with hades and Hercules, their getting together didn't really have as much reason as the Beast and Gaeton closing the triangle. All of that being said, I found Isabelle's character the least likable in the series so far, she just didn't have as much depth as the other characters in the series. Will definitely be rereading this one again.

Better than Learn My Lesson, but not as good as The Wickes Opponent. Beast is a solid read but definitely meant to lead into the Sea Witch.

Maybe it’s coming out of Tink’s excellent story but this one felt like it was missing that bit of danger and vulnerability that I wanted. Still amazing as always!
