Great start! The premise is interesting and it’s one of the few BL’s I’ve read that feels like there are real plots building outside of the relationship growing between the 2 main characters.

Akamatsu is trying to find an outlet for his frustration over his family troubles and Seven agrees to let him fight him everyday to vent. They end up staying together in Akamatsu’s apartment and help each other. Akamatsu uses his financial resources to help Seven have a safe place to stay and Seven helps Akamatsu find the confidence to deal with his family.

It sets up a story I want to follow so I’m definitely looking forward to the next volume.

CW: Distant family members, Homophobia

This was a great first volume! In it we follow two brawling teenagers. One of them, Seven, is homeless and ends up living with Akamatsu. It has well written characters, and I can't wait to learn more about them and their lives.

My favorite thing about BL is that they can discuss queer lives and all that comes with it. I love when a writer takes care in writing a story about teens. It's something I needed when I was a teenager. I can relate to Akamatsu's feeling of not fitting in. As well as his struggles with having his family accept him for who he is.
If you're looking for a good high school boy's love story, try this one!

I really enjoyed this! I was pulled in by the cover and the idea of Akamatsu being so desperate for a good fight that he'd invite his enemy to live with him. The way their frenemies relationship grows into flatmates, and then into potentially more, is really interesting. It doesn't feel fast, despite happening quite quickly in the timeline. Interestingly, Seven seems to have some sort of shady background, is on the run from mafia-type people, and isn't averse to a little guy-on-guy action.

I'm interested to see how Vol 2 develops the relationship and adds depth to the characters. Akamatsu is having a hard time with his homophobic father, but I think he and Seven mesh well. Volume 2 will be interesting.
