The plot thickens! I thought this was a good follow-up to the first book, expanding the story in a new and interesting direction.
I do have to say, though, I'm not a huge fan of the implications of what's going on between Anya and Damian. I really hate the whole "he's mean to you because he likes you" thing. IMO, it's one of the absolute worst messages girls and women can receive about romance.
That aside, I really enjoyed Anya in this book. I love the way she's torn between doing what Loid/Twilight needs her to do because she cares about him and wants to help him with his mission, and with the sage advice her badass new friend, Becky, is giving her. It was also a lot of fun watching Loid run interference.
Still think Yor needs more development, but I do love how fierce she gets whenever she thinks Anya is being threatened. This does help flesh her character out more, but I want her to get the same attention Loid and Anya get, since I find them both such strong characters.
Anya is still--and I suspect will be forever--the best character.
