I listened to this as an audiobook narrated by David Suchet. I am typically not a fan of short stories, especially detective stories, so that is why I choose the audio version. I have to say that I did enjoy every story in here. It was very delightful to listen to while putting together a puzzle.

Perhaps a better novelist than short story writer, but fun nonetheless. A wide variance in quality from story to story

My first Poirot read and it was amazing! Brilliant, gripping short story collection, I enjoyed every moment of it!

Each chapter is a standalone mini mystery. This is a great book for light readers, those with a short attention span or if you only have time to read 1 chapter a day. I did however miss Agatha's plot building throughout an entire novel; since everything was condensed it was difficult to feel the same suspense, which is why I rated it 3⭐s.  But definitely still enjoyable for Christie fans who are maybe short on time.
