Although the plot is simple and feels a bit repetitive, I enjoy the banter between the characters and the building of this world that they all live in. I like the cult theme and how this whole community interacts.
The spice has really been kicked up a notch but I'm really anticipating the full Bond Group bang.

Talk about some WTH moments! In this one, we start to unravel some significant things about the magic/bond system in this world. But it's one of those series that has to be read in order, and the further along things get, the harder it is to explain what happened without spoiling things. But I still like where things are going for this story.

Holy crap, by early afternoon I'd hit about 50% so I decided to do a bunch of house cleaning...then when I go to lay down last night I decide to finish the book...and that ending!

This book had me all kinds of emotional and desperate to start book 5.

This has been the best of them by a long shot… there are def things I do not like I am not at all okay with
what went down between her and Nox to be bonded…that’s not at all how I thought it should’ve been
It made me feel so grossed out and disturbed I almost decided to stop reading the book even though it was actually really good. Another part I hated was the
orgy, like I really could’ve done without reading Oli getting a train ran on her like a gods damn porno. And I felt so grimy after reading it because it had the same disgusting atmosphere as a porno does. 19 yr old Oli being treated like a hole to fvck just didn’t sit right with me at all. The one on ones are fine I guess but the orgies almost ruin the book for me. Maybe everyone likes it but me but it Icked me and I reallyyyy don’t need to ever read that again
but yeah we actually had a plot in this one which I appreciated lmao

3 "Bonded" Stars ⭐️
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️/5

When I started the series, my liking for it was measured in the number of fucks that appeared in the text. The first book had 466 fucks in it. The second book was a little less, the third EVEN less and , unfortunately, in this book we only had 194 fucks.

In correlation to the fucks my liking for this book exponentially decreased. Something else is, I have grown an increased annoyance of the word bond in any FORM. It appears in this book 862 times! There are only 532 pages, which means that we almost have the word bond mentioned at least twice per page.

It's like, okay, we get it! They're bonded! They have a bond! You don't have to refer to them that way. It's like by book four, we get the fucking point that there are bonds! It's like they are all Rhys and suddenly the word mate needs to be uttered 50 thousand times to make sure the universe knows. I almost DNF'ed this book. Not because it's bad, it's like this is trash TV.

The problem is that because it's trash TV, it is almost recycling plot elements. There is the same feeling, the same story. There is a resistance attack, Oli bonds with her bonded and bonds (both in the "bonded sense "and just a "general" sense of bonding with a person). The smut is not as awesome as I expected it to be. Basically the story is not really giving me anything new and the story is boring.

This is just plain old boring and the character of Oli is just starting to get irritating. As much as I could deal with her irritation previously because the angst and drama drew me into the book, I didn't mind then. NOW I CAN'T HANDLE IT!!! I just wanted the book to end. It was a major chore to actually finish this!

I will read the other two because I am still interested to know how the series is going to end. But I'm going to need a break. A couple of books in between should be good to just dilute the story in my mind so it doesn't feel like I'm reading the "same shit on a different day".

I really enjoy the plot of the books, but the words bond, bonds, and bonded were used 859 times. That means you see one version of it at least once on every page. Sometimes more than once in the same paragraph. I had to take a break from reading it because I was losing my mind. I appreciate that at least Atlas has a different nickname for her.

It frustrates me how quick things are to change. She met Sage who was super quiet and now she is a central bond who’s super strong and badass? And then randomly guessed right that Aro is the central bond for Grey and Sawyer? Sometimes it just feels like everything always works out. So when you’re left on a cliffhanger, I don’t take it too seriously.

Ummm what? Ok, thank god Oli finally bonds with Gabe, the poor boy was being left in the friend zone for way too long. But are we just gonna ignore what happened with Riley and Giovanna?? What about Sage? Also the ending needs to change asap.
